LLR Design was founded in London and established its office in Shanghai. The founders have all participated in many international high-profile projects in leading architectural firms. The multi-disciplinary design group works on the iterative relationship between architectural space and technological innovations, society, and cultural context. The team focuses on the sensory and emotional experience of human whilst sees the sustainable future of architecture and the city as our duty.
Concise and Pure
We seek tranquillity in an age of information explosion. By using logical lines and delicate details, we construct a variety of spatial experiences tailored to local conditions. Powerful or elegant, subtle or rustic ... We aim to use the most concise language to tell the most vivid stories.
Iteration of Technology and Culture
We believe that design should not be limited by trends or formulaic combinations. The Chinese name of our studio also originates from our understanding of design: the evolution intertwined between technological innovation and historical accumulations, the content of which is not a solid state of physical presence, but the very activity of inheritance and renewal.
Sustainable Future
We are committed to creating green and healthy spaces and communities. While focusing on the well-being of human beings, we explore the sustainable future of architecture and cities. We always pay attention to the emerging carbon neutral technologies and methods, both in design and operations. In addition, we advocate a lifestyle that is connected with nature.
Integrated Design
The implementation of excellent design depends on the cooperation and mutual understanding of diverse teams. We want to be a responsible coordinator, and build multiple-disciplinary teams with our partners.
